Charles Carlson, D-ABMDI- Chief Medicolegal Investigator

Charles has been with Delaware County Coroner’s Office since February of 2019. Prior to working in Delaware County, he served with the Clermont County Coroner’s Office for 5 years. Charles served 28 years with the State of Ohio, retiring as a detective. His focus was primarily investigating death and sexual assault cases.  He obtained his Master Criminal Investigator along with Master Evidence Technician certifications through OPOTA. Charles completed the Medicolegal Death Investigator course at Saint Louis University. He also attended the University of Cincinnati, Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Environmental Sciences. Charles brings years of crime scene and death investigation experience.
